Job Details

• A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking multiple ICU RN's. 13 weeks, 36 hours/wk.

Job Requirements

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Variety of ICU acuity patients- vented patients, BIS scoring, TTM, IABP (rarely).
• RNs required to titrate drips: Yes.
• Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, insulin.

Schedule Information

• Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7 / 6 week scheduling done by a scheduler.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other.
• Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with perm staff.
• Floating Requirements: Can float to PCU or MedSurg.

Unit Specific Information

• Department: ICU
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Additional Details

• Beds: 16.
• Ratios: 1:2, occasionally 1:3.
• Charge Nurse on each shift?: Yes.
• Are nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Duties?: No.
• Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?: eICU support in 14 rooms.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue.
• How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Classroom orientation and then 2-12 hour shifts on the unit.
• Looking for positive nurses willing to work with others as a team to overcome challenges.
• Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
