Title: Systems Power Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (onsite)
Duration: 12 months contract
Looking For:
Entry level position
Recent college graduate preferred, but the manager is also open to reviewing candidates with up to 3 years of relevant experience and candidates who are about to graduate
Electrical engineering background preferred because of the focus on power and performance, but computer engineering will also be considered
Requirements listed in the job description are in the order of importance, especially the top two skills, everything else is a bonus
Top 3 skills: EE design work, communication skills, experience with computer architecture
Seeking an enthusiastic electrical engineer to join our Power and Performance Customer Attainment team and work on best-in-class products. This is a design/test engineering position that entails working with multifunctional groups as well as clients/OEMs to innovate the technology implemented in Client's products. The team is mainly focused on power validation of silicon products and debugging PC systems with an emphasis on platform-level debug.
Education Requirements:
Recent college graduate holding a degree in EE or equivalent (Bachelors or Masters)
Job Requirements:
The role is self-starting and the candidate should be able to deal with a high level of ambiguity as well as constant communication with the client/OEM, internal system and software engineers, external vendors, and System on Chip (SoC) architects to debug and improve power models and drivers used for future client programs.
