Job Description

As the Production and Quality Manager at Teton Outfitters, you will be at the heart of our production operations, driving quality improvements and ensuring the timely delivery of our apparel and hard parts products. Your leadership and strategic oversight will be crucial in building strong partnerships, managing production allocation, strategic sourcing and overseeing quality control to consistently deliver exceptional products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of (5) production professionals, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of finished goods through data-driven quality control.
  • Train and oversee the Production team to achieve cost savings and process improvements, ensuring cost-effective production and negotiations.
  • Evaluate partner factory capabilities and manage production allocation to optimize market demand and timely delivery.
  • Oversee the raw material supply chain from greige forecasting to finished garments, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans and build strong relationships with partners, navigating macroeconomic factors and their impact on production.
  • Utilize data to formulate and measure business strategies, adjusting plans as needed based on changing factory and business inputs.
  • Create and manage KPIs, ensuring clear communication and expectations with factories for timely improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to set realistic expectations and drive business growth.
  • Understand and address internal department needs, providing timely information and balancing competing interests.
  • Manage the Quality Control Manager to ensure inspection approvals align with exit factory dates.
  • Prepare, recommend, and track department budgets for approval and cost control.
  • Ensure all timeline milestones are met across departments to facilitate efficient production.
  • Handle special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or Advanced Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years’ experience in apparel or hard parts production.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PLM, and ERP software, with a strong emphasis on Excel workbooks, coding, and formulas.
  • Some product development experience required.
  • Valid passport and visas, with the ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to 2 weeks at a time, multiple times a year.
