About the Role
The Company is seeking a President and CEO to lead its national nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to supporting the philanthropic partners of America's public lands. The successful candidate will be a strategic, partnership-focused leader with a strong commitment to the mission of public lands, nonprofit partnerships, and stewardship. This hands-on role involves fostering external relations, particularly with land management agencies and other stakeholders, and serving as the primary spokesperson for the organization. The President and CEO will also be responsible for organizational leadership, financial management, and overseeing revenue generation across various income streams. Experience in leading teams within a nonprofit or public lands organization, as well as a proven track record in supporting revenue generation, is essential. Applicants for the President and CEO position at the company should have a background in organizational planning, financial management, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires a leader with strong relationship-building and communication skills, who can work effectively with a remote staff team and is comfortable with the dynamics of agency-nonprofit partnerships. While not mandatory, experience with federal agencies, cooperative agreements, and nonprofit advocacy is preferred. The ideal candidate will be an empathetic, strategic, and relationship-driven leader, capable of managing change while maintaining positive partnerships and commitments. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future strategy of the organization and support its partners in the face of unprecedented environmental, political, and cultural change.
