The Flamingo Resort and Spa is seeking a friendly, energetic, and service-oriented Pool Server to join our team for the upcoming season. This role is crucial in providing our guests with an exceptional poolside experience, offering attentive service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment around our beautiful pool area. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, a love for working outdoors, and the ability to deliver high-quality service with a smile.
Key Responsibilities: - Greet guests promptly and courteously, providing them with menu information and personal attention.
- Take orders for food and beverages, ensuring accuracy and offering recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Serve food and drinks to guests at the pool area, adhering to all food safety and handling procedures.
- Process transactions and handle cash and credit card payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including the cleaning of tables, chairs, and other surfaces as needed.
- Ensure the pool area is stocked with necessary supplies, including towels, menus, and cleaning materials.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and handle any issues with the utmost professionalism and in accordance with resort policies.
- Assist in maintaining a safe environment around the pool area, reporting any safety hazards to management immediately.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and efficient service of all orders.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in a server role, preferably in a poolside or outdoor setting, is desired but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guests, team members, and management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
- A positive attitude and a team player mentality.
- Certification in food handling/safety, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry weights of up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
