In this role you will provide data analysis services to support healthcare business needs

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements, review specifications, Client data sources, and obtain necessary access to achieve accurate data representation.
• Translate clinical questions into data requirements and generate actionable business and clinical insights.
• Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
• Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data.
• Identify and remediate corrupted data.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets.
• Communicate technical and clinical insight to various audiences with diverse disciplines
• Engage stakeholders, subject matter experts and leadership to understand business questions and determine optimal approaches to obtaining data-driven solutions
• Document, troubleshoot, and appropriately address production issues with stakeholders and effectively communicate with the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or computer science.
• Master's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working with electronic medical record-based datasets and/or payer-based datasets.
• High level of proficiency in methodologies to generate research questions, query complex clinical data to conduct descriptive analysis
• Proficiency in data manipulation tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
• Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience with Agile principles and development methodology.
• Broad knowledge of advanced analytics, research infrastructure, discovery platforms and the application of artificial intelligence/machine learning for health.
