Position Summary:

KPrime Technologies is looking for a highly organized Accounting Technician . The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent technical, oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently. A strong understanding of month-end closing procedures, and hands-on experience is an asset. This position offers a combination of in-office and remote work days.

 

Primary Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and keep records up to date;
• Process credit card payments and reconciliations;
• Record invoices, bills, payments and journal entries;
• Process account receivables and accounts payables;
• Process employees’ expense reports;
• Assist with the month end closing and reporting;
• Function as backup for the Payroll Accountant
• Other duties as assigned

 

Background and Experience Sought:

• Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles;
• Experience in Quickbooks, AccountEdge, Microsoft Dynamics and other accounting software;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office and Outlook;
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills;
• Payroll experience is a strong asset;
• Experience documenting and improving processes and efficiency is an asset.

 

Education:

• 3+ years of general accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting or finance preferred.

 

Job Type : 14-month contract, Full-time

Salary Range : $55,000.00-$60,000.00 annually
